5G
Towards new generation of wireless network systems

In mobile communications, along with the transition progress from 3.9G to 4G, discussions on 5G are heating up. Predicted to be introduced as early as 2020, 5G is projected to adopt advanced technologies such as heterogeneous networks and cognitive radio, while building high anticipation for new technology innovations. On the other hand, problems like higher frequency transition in millimeter wave and wider spectral bandwidth application need to be addressed.

Moreover, not only the effectiveness of the new standard, but also its security and reliability need to be evaluated and discussed. In MCRG open house this year, we would like to discuss the real potential of 5G.
