Abstract: 
This talk provides an overview of hexaferrites and magnetic films used in
particular recording media, microwave devices, and magnetic random access
memory (MRAM). After a brief introduction to the applications, a number of
recent results achieved by the author's laboratory will be presented. The
first part focuses on information data storage, circulator, antenna, and
inductor and the second part covers future application of hexaferrites to
non-volatile MRAM.
